Over the week of February 24th-28th, Year 9 students had their ‘Explore Week’ experience. The program is designed to engage student learning outside the normal classroom environment and consists of a week of excursions that provide them with an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities required for lifelong learning and informed citizenship. Students should be commended on their participation and enthusiasm.
I believe that Explore Week was a great way for the Year 9s to learn outside of the classroom. The experience at La Trobe allowed us to gain an understanding of what life after school is like. We were also introduced to the many different courses available and what each of them includes, as well as exploring the campus. The City Explore was a great experience that allowed us to learn more about the city of Melbourne and its history, and provided a bonding opportunity with classmates.
