We are excited to invite you to a special event at our college as we commemorate the Greek National Celebration of OXI Day. This event is not only an opportunity to celebrate our Hellenic heritage but also to reflect on the powerful message of saying “No” to what is wrong and standing up for what is right against all odds.

On Friday, the 27th of October, our Junior School will host a short concert in honor of OXI Day, and we cordially invite you to attend this special event. This celebration is not only an important tradition for the Greek community but also a valuable teaching moment for our students, who have been working tirelessly in preparation for this concert.

Significance of OXI Day:
OXI Day, celebrated on October 28th, marks a pivotal moment in Greek history. It commemorates the day in 1940 when the Greek government officially responded with “OXI” (No) to an ultimatum by the Axis powers to surrender during World War II. The courage and determination of the Greek people to resist tyranny in the face of overwhelming odds symbolise the indomitable spirit of Hellenism.

We would be honored to have you join us for this special occasion. Your presence not only supports our young performers but also reinforces the importance of the values we aim to instill in our students.

We encourage you to wear a touch of blue and white, the colors of the Greek flag, to show your solidarity with this celebration.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing this meaningful event with you.
