RIJI Presenter – Year 10

YEAR 10 REAL INDUSTRY JOB INTERVIEW PROGRAM

St John’s College and the Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network (INLLEN) would like to inform you that students in Year 10 will be participating in the Real Industry Job Interview Program delivered by schools across the Yarra, Darebin, and Moreland regions.

RIJI is a work readiness program that assists students in developing good job search, resume writing and interviewing skills. The program is delivered as part of a school’s curriculum throughout a series of guided lesson plans and concludes in a face-to-face interview with a local volunteer interviewer during a RIJI event.

The mock-interviews will take place on October 18th at the Darebin Arts Centre.

Each student will have submitted their job application to their teachers. The application includes a current resume, cover letter and job advertisement. Students will be interviewed for 20 minutes which includes a set of standard questions relating to their job interest, and then will be provided with feedback and will make suggestions to help them improve, based on their interview performance and on their resume.
